How to Make Homemade Elderberry Syrup

Build your immune system and help prevent colds with elderberries! Or help reduce the severity of an already existing one 😷 You can make your own elderberry syrup at home and it’s SO easy!

INGREDIENTS (available at Happy Trails 🌿):
3/4 cup dried, whole elderberries
3 cups water
1 cinnamon stick
1 tsp ground ginger
4 whole cloves
1 cup honey (we like to use local honey fromΒ @earthybeeΒ )

DIRECTIONS:
1. Place all ingredients except honey in a saucepan and bring to a boil
2. Simmer for 30 minutes
3. Mash berries and strain through sieve
4. Stir in honey 🍯
