Build your immune system and help prevent colds with elderberries! Or help reduce the severity of an already existing one You can make your own elderberry syrup at home and it’s SO easy!
INGREDIENTS (available at Happy Trails ):
3/4 cup dried, whole elderberries
3 cups water
1 cinnamon stick
1 tsp ground ginger
4 whole cloves
1 cup honey (we like to use local honey from @earthybee )
DIRECTIONS:
1. Place all ingredients except honey in a saucepan and bring to a boil
2. Simmer for 30 minutes
3. Mash berries and strain through sieve
4. Stir in honey
